Campaign: Tourism Intelligence Scotland (TIS) – engaging tourism businesses
There’s plenty more to Scotland’s tourism industry than haggis and whisky, and it’s big business – worth around £10 billion each year to the country’s economy. Tourism Intelligence Scotland (TIS) provides Scotland’s tourism companies with the insight to give visitors what they want, and grow their businesses.
To reach them, BIG Partnership was asked to bring more tourism companies to the TIS website and develop valuable content which would provide real benefits to their businesses.
We engaged the partners of the TIS website, including VisitScotland, Scottish Tourism Alliance and Scottish Enterprise, to create compelling content for the market. We developed sector intelligence guides for the site, as well as research papers and products to help grow the tourism industry.
In the first six months, we increased unique visitors to the website by 284% – against a 12-month target of 20%. We beat our target for return visits by a factor of three, and have continued to grow the TIS online presence among Scotland’s tourism companies. Now that’s worth a bob or Tattoo.
