Organising a last-minute press launch and photocall for newly-acquired client Elevator, and its prestigious annual awards ceremony, was always going to be a challenge. With just two days’ notice, we were able to enlist the help of previous awards finalist Bagels & Stuff, taking full advantage of their delicious produce and some very creative photography to secure fantastic media coverage.
The Elevator Awards – which aim to commend business excellence, entrepreneurial behaviour and outstanding community contributions made by top businesses in Aberdeen City and Shire – has long been an established fixture in Aberdeen’s business calendar.
Following the press launch, alongside Elevator’s launch event, the number of applications rose by 25% on the previous year, while tickets for the June event at Ardoe House Hotel sold out in record time, making it the most successful to date.
Year on year, we are amazed by the number and quality of the applications we have and this is testament to the incredible businesses and entrepreneurs we have on our doorstep. However, the fact that in the face of a fairly major economic downturn we had a record number of applications, and that all 420 tickets for the event sold in record time, a month in advance of the event, was in no small part down to the way in which BIG Partnership approached and handled the launch press event, securing incredible coverage at very short notice. It was a great start to what has been a very successful partnership and journey with BIG.”
